  13. This is an older version of the AstroMart software which I have
  14. decided to release as shareware on the international market.  The
  15. Langway company reserves all rights concerning this program, but
  16. will allow this specific version to be copied and distributed
  17. freely and without charge.
  18.  
  19. It is forbidden to modify or translate this version of AstroMart
  20. software and its files.  It must be distributed with all its
  21. files.
  22.  
  23. Users may register by sending Stg £29.  Registered users will
  24. receive the latest version of AstroMart.  The 3.2 version does
  25. much more than the program you have now (see below).  A Windows
  26. version will be released in April 1992.  This will have word
  27. processing facilities and will allow text and graphics to be
  28. exported to other Windows software. These versions are not
  29. shareware.  Send in the licence form (licence.doc) with a cheque
  30. (English or International) or money order, or use your
  31. Visa/Access/Mastercard and call (Int. code) (33) 76 41 13 15.

  33. This version of AstroMart must not be used for professional
  34. purposes.  Once you have registered, there are no royalties for
  35. the professional use of AstroMart, including its text output.

  39. AstroMart is a complete software for calculating an astrological
  40. chart.
  41.  
  42. The AstroMart program was created in response to the demand from
  43. astrologers.  Currently, all confirmed astrologers use a computer
  44. to calculate the ephemeris. The AstroMart program responds
  45. perfectly to the needs of the astrologer for working out the
  46. astral charts.
  47.  
  48. It is equally addressed to students of astrology, and to all those
  49. who are interested in this science. Indeed, a chart analysis is
  50. included in the software. We would advise beginners, however, to
  51. consult other more specifically teaching books on the subject.

  53. AstroMart allows you to enter the details of the person to be
  54. studied for the calculation of his or her astral chart, and
  55. calculates the position of the planets at the time of birth as
  56. well as the position of the astrological houses and aspects.

  97. Advantages of the 3.2 version
  98.  
  99. The 3.2 version is more than twice as large as the shareware
  100. version.
  101.  
  102. All the modules dealing with more than one chart have separated
  103. menus containing options specific to that module.  Thus, the
  104. transit module has a specific item for calculating other transits,
  105. separate analysis, special graphics (superposed graphs, side by
  106. side graphs, two different line graphs), and even items leading to
  107. other modules that use the information displayed (chart of the
  108. date of a transit, comparison to the main chart, mid-points,
  109. etc.).

  111. Here are the additional functions:
  112.  
  113. Directory
  114.  
  115.   This function lets you view a file in the directory used to
  116.   export charts to a word processor.
  117. Line graph
  118.   This draws (or prints out) a tabular representation of the
  119.   movement of the planets starting at a certain date and using a
  120.   certain step; for example, month by month from 1st January,
  121.   1992.  This is useful for finding vital dates when groupings
  122.   will take place.
  123.   There are two special line graphs for calculating transits. One
  124.   shows the movement of the planet in transit relative to all the
  125.   planets in the main chart, the other shows the movement of the
  126.   planet relative to the aspects of one of the planets in the main
  127.   chart.  Both let you grasp visually the true movement of the
  128.   planet.

  130. Fictive points
  131.  
  132.   This displays various other sidereal points used by some
  133.   astrologers.
  134.  
  135. Transits
  136.  
  137.   This calculates the transits for each planet in the birth chart.
  138.   This module includes special graphics to show the movement of
  139.   the planet in transit relative to the planets in the chart.
  140.   There is a special analysis file to interpret the transits.
  141.  
  142. Compare to a day
  143.  
  144.   This module compares the main chart to the positions of the
  145.   planet at a certain date, which is equivalent to calculating all
  146.   the transits and near transits for that date.  This function is
  147.   especially useful for making horoscopes.
  148.  
  149. Compare two charts
  150.  
  151.   This calculates the compatibility between two people.  There is
  152.   a special analysis text for this comparison.
  153.  
  154. Compare to the file
  155.  
  156.   This function compares a chart to each chart contained in the
  157.   file.  You can specify the sex and age of the person whose chart
  158.   you are looking for, and also the degree of compatibility or
  159.   antagonism.
  160.  
  161. Solar revolution
  162.  
  163.   This module calculates the solar revolution for a person at a
  164.   given age.
  165.  
  166. Progression
  167.  
  168.   This function calculates the progressed chart for the chart you
  169.   are studying.
  170.  
  171. Print to file
  172.  
  173.   This exports the text output to a file that can be loaded into
  174.   any word processor.  Thus you can use the tables and analyses of
  175.   AstroMart as a basis for your own work.
  176. Options:
  177.   You can link new and different analysis files to the analysis
  178.   functions of each module (birth chart, transits, compare two
  179.   people, compare to a day, etc).  When you use the analysis
  180.   function in that module, AstroMart will display, print or export
  181.   to a file the personalized text in the linked analysis file.
  182.  
  183.   You can specify different orbs for each aspect and for each
  184.   planet (e.g.: conjunction Sun at 12° and conjunction Pluto at
  185.   6°).

  187.   You can specify which planets are to be displayed in the
  188.   graphics, and also which ones are to be taken into account for
  189.   determining aspects.  This allows you to suppress a planet to
  190.   simplify complex displays such as the combined graphic of a
  191.   comparison, or to ignore a planet you do not consider important
  192.   in a chart.

  194.   Likewise, the types of aspects used for transits can be
  195.   modified.
  196.  
  197.   An option enables the display of the degrees in the graphics.
  198.  
  199.   The colours used in the graphics can be customised.  You can
  200.   select the colour for the wheel, the houses, each planet, and
  201.   each type of aspect.
  202.  
  203.   The printer module in AstroMart 3.2 has specific drivers for
  204.   most printers (IBM, Epson, Laserjet II, HPGL2). These drivers
  205.   compose and print out graphics directly using the resolution and
  206.   graphic commands of the printer (not a screen hardcopy).
  207.   Circles are always perfectly round, and the result is always
  208.   much better than what you see on the screen, even with VGA.

  212. The list of localities has been greatly enlarged to include
  213. thousands of additional towns all over the world, and especially
  214. in English-speaking countries.

  216. The time adjustment file has been updated to take better into
  217. account countries with multiple time zones, such as the USA.

  219. Of course, a complete printed user's manual is provided.
